Anyone hearing if the shipment of Jeffsey's is actually showing up this week?

I just got an email today saying expected ship date is September 18 for the ones that say September 13 on the website, but of course it could always be delayed. This matches what I was told last week when I called as well.

I ordered in April with a available date of early August, I believe the 9th.

I've twice been told the delivery has been delayed.

First delayed to 8/30 then on August 23rd was told it was delayed until "around mid September"

    Very frustrating.

This is pretty insane! I'm surprised you have not changed your mind and decided to get a different bike instead. Are the Jeffsys so popular that YT cannot meet the demand?

The YT site now shows the AL One 29 and AL Two 29 as "in stock" for the first time in several months, so that's certainly good news.

The CF pro showed 10/11 I believe when I checked before the sold out sign went up.

"Thanks for the order. We are stoked that you will be riding a YT. The estimated availability date of your bike is 9/18. This is the date when we expect to be able to ship the bikes out from our offices. Please be advised that availability dates are not guaranteed, and delays frequently occur. These bikes are a few days behind schedule, but should be ready to ship early next week. "

Hoping for a shipping notification today, but I do not expect one, really. Can't wait!

Just called and talked to "Ray". He said that the shipment coming on cargo ships has landed in Oakland however is taking longer to clear customs due to the size of the shipment. It was supposed to clear yesterday, it didn't. He expects it to clear today, 1 day shipment to Reno and a quick turn around to the consumer from there. From Arizona, expecting it early next week.

Mine is taking a solid week to go from Reno to Atlanta. I could've driven out there and back in less time!

Most recent update I was given is that the carbon bikes are on a boat and the port arrival date is 10/11, then a few days to Reno.

I ordered my Jeffsy CF Pro back on March 24th. As everyone knows it kept getting pushed back from the original August date. Last I heard from Ray at YT was 10/16.
Glad to know I'm not the only one feeling the pain. If it wasn't such a kick-ass bike and a smoking deal I would've gone elsewhere long ago.
Been frustratedly browsing/spec checking the following:
    Yeti SB5.5
    SC Hightower/Hightower LT
    Stumpjumper 29 Coil Carbon/Expert
    Devinci Django 29

    Two more weeks...

Mine finally showed up last Friday and let me tell you, totally worth the wait. Most fun bike I've ever thrown a leg over. Enjoy it when it gets there.

Mine was the AL1. I originally ordered a 27 in large in March and received that in may. It was just too small fit wise so I jumped to the XL 29. Just finally received it last week.

Anybody have any feedback (first ride impressions) from this last batch of bikes? I ended up cancelling my order but I'm really wanting to order another now. Just can't decide if I want to pull the trigger now or wait for the 2018s.

Not going to claim to be an expert bike reviewer but I couldn't be happier with the bike. Having said that, this late in the year, I'd wait to see when they start the year end sale or probably wait for 2018 since the season is closing. Amazing bike!!!

I'm hoping to write more about my impressions later but I went to Outerbike this weekend and I think I'm now planning to buy one. It was very nimble and playful. It railed going down Captain Ahab. I rode it two days since I was considering buying it. First day it was nimble but harsh. Second day, I didn't notice the harshness. I'm guessing the suspension wasn't set up well the first day.

Emailed YT again, this was the response from Howie a few minutes ago...

"We talked with our trucking company this morning, and we will be getting 2 containers over the next 2 days. The larger container which the majority of the bikes will be in, will be here and ready to ship tomorrow. A smaller container will be here and ready to ship on Friday. We don't know what bikes are in what container until we unload them, so your bike will ship out on Friday at the latest."

I guess we'll see. Heading to Sedona in two weeks, would REALLY like to take that bad-assed bike along.

I am also patiently waiting for a CF2 Jeffsy. My est. shipping date was Sept 27, and here we are 3 weeks later and I still haven't heard a peep from YT... no e-mail updates or anything, which is disappointing.

I sent them an e-mail today but so far have only received an auto-reply from their help desk bot...

FWIW though, last year when I ordered my wife's Jeffsy it took two days. Shipped on 09/06, arrived 09/08. If so, then maybe it will be here tomorrow. That would be rad.

    Upset

SO BUMMED / PISSED RIGHT NOW...

    FedEx delivered a Jeffsy, but it's not MY Jeffsy... I bought a 29er, and received a 27.5.

I didn't even notice until I got it out of the box and all the packaging off of it.

And I have a trip to Mammoth planned for this weekend to break in the bike. Took Friday off and hired a pet sitter and everything. I guess it just changed from a biking trip to a hiking trip. 

I'll be contacting YT tomorrow to see how quickly this can be resolved....

    DAMN IT!!!!!!! 

update: They have my 29 there in Reno, and are shipping it out right away...
They sent me a shipping label to send back the 27.5
The dude I talked to (Mark) was very apologetic about their mistake, and thanked me for being cool about it, and said he'd throw in some swag and the Thirstmaster bottle.

I guess if I've waited this long, another week won't be too bad. I'm glad they actually have the 29 there, I was worried that I'd have to wait for one to come from Taiwan...

Just bummed I won't get to ride it this weekend as planned.........

another update: here's the e-mail I just sent to YT...

Hello Howie, Mark, (or whoever reads this)

I see that your website is currently showing the Jeffsy CF TWO 29 XL SNOW WHITE as "In Stock" at a price of $3,499.

I paid you $500 MORE for that exact bike back in June, and it still has not been delivered to me, more than 4 months later...

A bike was delivered to me last week, but it was a 27, not the 29 I ordered. I called your office last Thursday and spoke to Mark about it. He was really cool about it, and said he'd ship my 29 out immediately, and that it would go out that day, because it was still a couple hours before FedEx picked up. However, four days later I still have not received any shipping confirmation or tracking number...

Mark also e-mailed me a return shipping label to send the 27 back to Reno. I re-packed the bike and dropped it off at a FedEx location that same day (Thursday). Tracking number is: 790732716971 (currently in transit)

I really don't think it's fair that someone can order the same bike today for $500 less than what I paid over 4 months ago, and be riding it before me. So I'm asking you to do one of the following:

    A) Follow through on my original order (#65965) and send me a refund of $500.

    B) Allow me to cancel my original order and get a full refund, so I can place a new order for the same bike at the current (reduced) price.

    C) Change my order from the CF TWO 29 to the CF ONE 29 XL SNOW WHITE (which your site is showing as "In Stock" at the price of $3,999, which is what I paid)

Sorry, I don't want to be *that* pain-in-the-ass customer, I just really want to get my hands on the bike I've been waiting so long for, so I can finally start riding, ya know? And I'm currently unemployed so every dollar counts right now.

Please reply ASAP and let me know what's happening...

    Thank you,

    Kampy

I just ordered a 29er Jeffsy CF 2 in medium last night. I was emailing back and forth with them during the day before I placed the order, so hopefully I get it early next week. Pretty stoked for this bike!

OK, final update: YT responded quickly to my e-mail, and offered to refund me $500 to reflect the current pricing of the CF2. It hasn't shown up in my account yet, but Howie did say it could take up to 2 weeks. I received the (correct) Jeffsy from YT, and assembled it last night. Seems like a great bike, and I'm gonna take it out for it's first ride later today after I finish the tubeless conversion.

Despite having some aggravation over having to wait 4.5 months, and the hassle of having the wrong bike sent to me, I still feel good about YT's customer service. They were cool about things every time I communicated with them, apologetic about the delays and mixups, and tried their best to make things right with me by throwing in some free accessories, including the (proprietary) water bottle, and even some pedals.

I'm just glad to finally have the bike I settled on so long ago. This is my first "modern" full suspension bike, and I think I'll be pretty stoked on it once I dial it in.

The lesson learned is: YT makes a good bike and has good customer service, but long waits and shipping delays are par for the course if you order a model that isn't "in stock". And be sure to carefully check the label on the side of the box to make sure it matches your order before you unpack & unwrap everything....
