Help- what chain ring type for 2018 Jeffsy AL? cinch? boost?

Okay, I want to drop my 32t for a 30t chainring. I can't figure out what to order. I know it's "cinch", but is the crank or chainring "boosted"? I don't want to get the wrong thing.

    Round or oval?

    Race face?

    Or this? https://absoluteblack.cc/raceface-ov...inch-chainring

Go boost, It's not that crank is boost, but your rear end is boost. So chain ring offset changes. Offset is 3mm with rear end being boost, and 6mm with rear end non boost (142mm). It's all about perfect chainline .

Aaaand, me and my buddy both have Jeffsy 29'rs. We both switched to Absolute Black oval 30T. It is much better than stock 32. It improved climbing ability. I do not feel ovality at all. It just seems really easy to pedal uphill

More you beef it up, more it will handle like a cow....:skep:

Another thumbs up here for the AB oval 30 for the Jeffsy 29. I have it on mine and already have another one waiting for my Capra whenever it arrives.

Thanks I'm about to order it. I already have an old Park BBT-2 tool, so that should work.

The chain ring showed up today and it's installed. Now to test it out tomorrow!

Dang I paid full price. Awesome upgrade. I donít have big downhills here in Florida but I needed a better bail out gear for the short/steep climbs in my park.

I used same code. Bought spare chain, and Topeak tire gauge 😎
