    Bottle Cage Options for Jeffsy

Anyone have luck installing another brand on their bike? The YT thirstmaster of course will work but i'm looking for a cheaper option. The bottom of cage must be about 2.5" from lower mount hole to fit the bottle I have.

Anyway, looking for other options if you have one post a pic and the cage brand.

I'm in the same boat. Curious to see if there is at least one other options out there besides using the YT setup.

I saw on...i believe the pinkbike jeffsy thread... that a lot of people are having luck with standard side entry cages. Some people are even using full size bottles without problems. I'll look around for the posts later if I get some time.

The Fidlock 450ml fits. I have it.

The fidlock mount is great. Pivot it and it releases. To put it back, just push it on and it clicks straight in.

I'm not a huge fan of the squirt nozzle. It seems I have to really pull up hard on it to get it to flow enough water.

So far I've only used it taking the kids on leisurely rides. For the trails I run a hydration pack full of tools, tube, and pump. Maybe after I go tubeless, I can try going pack-less. It's a park, so the furthest walk back to the truck would only be a couple of miles.

I carry a pack with all kinds of b.s. too. Trying to slim it down. I strapped a tube to the frame under shock with tools inside the wrapped tube. Then I strapped my pump just to the side of the tube, on the downtube. Put a strip of 3M film for protection on downtube there - rode it down some gnar, worked great. Carried my water bottle inside back of shorts in my ass crack, lol. Didn't fall out (or down) once.

Dude. I hit a near vertical ramp at way too low of speed because I scared myself the first time I did it. I'm old and don't like air. Anyway, I fell on my back from probably 3 feet vertical. I'm glad the hydration pack was there to cushion me. I wouldn't want to land on a water bottle.

Syncros tailor cage 3.0 and almost any 500-550ml bottle (here is Elite L-Eroica) works perfect with M-sized Jeffsy 27.5 without any adapters.

Anyone carrying their tube/tools in a modded bottle in the bottle cage? I wear a hydration pack currently, but also carrying my tools and tube in the pack as well. Like to get down to wearing a more form fitting hydro pack and carrying the tools on the bike.

I have been looking into tool box / caddy that mounts or sits in the water bottle cage area.

    Something like this.

I don't always listen to slayer, but when I do so do the neighbors.
