    27.5 AL tubeless setup questions

My buddy just picked up the blue and black jeffsy. I told him I would set it up tubeless for him. Do these DT Swiss rims come pre taped? Are they picky about valves? If so what are you guys using?

No, the tape on the wheels is not tubeless-ready. I use 1" wide Gorilla tape and some leftover stems I had from my Specialized Enduro. Haven't lost any air pressure in almost 3 months now. If I did need to buy another set of stems I would probably go with the ethirteen ones as I have heard good things about them.

I can't tell you much about the rims you have, but I've got 2 DH wheel sets from dt. The finish on their rims resists the stick of some tape. You'll encounter a dizzying array of tape brands and advice. Like GoldFly said, buy some 1" Gorilla tape and use that. It is extra sticky.

Just converted my 2017 29" Jeffsy. It could not have been easier. Used Gorilla tape.
