    2018 Capra 27 sizing

Iím 6í, 33.5 measured inseam. Stuck on L vs XL decision.

Mostly ride the steep stuff in California, mostly shuttles.
Will be taking it to Whistler too.

Iím confused on the new long geo with modern bikes. Always thought I was a solid L size, though I did have a medium TR450 for downhill (lift access only) when I lived back east.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

Always go for the bigger frame, because it is easier to make a bigger frame smaller, than making a smaller frame bigger.

Your height is the same as mine.
I ride an Jeffsy 27 in XL which is almost perfect.
On the Capra I could even go for an XXL.

Thanks, Iím leaning toward L, as I think the bike will already be pretty long and heavyish. The XL has the additional CS length also, I believe.
I used to say I like long bikes, but now it seems all of em are long!

Iím trying to find out if I can visit YT office and sit on both sizes.

As long as I can comfortably climb seated and stand and hammer occasionally, it isnít too small in my book...

I'm 5'8" and the size L fits me perfectly. I would be looking at a size XL if I was 6'. They also cut the fork steerers pretty short from the factory, so you'd be stuck with a kinda low stack if you go for a size L and there'd be nothing you could do about it.
    Shorter seat tubes, taller droppers.
    Shorter chainstays, taller stacks.
    Shorter stems, taller BB's.

    I'm 6'1", 34" inseam
The dimensions of my XL Capra are almost identical to my other bike, sized L. I feel comfortable on the bike, not stretching for anything.

But, I have a +3" wingspan, so that may affect why the XL is comfortable to me, too.
