Just bought a SB150 frame and going to be swapping parts from a SB5.5 over to the new frame. I know that the seat post diameter is different but does anyone know what else is different? Looks like the BB will swap over but what about the headset? Anything else I might not be considering?

You can just use a problem solvers shim thatíll allow your 30.9Ē Dropper to size up to 31.6Ē

Youíll need a new headset as well, Iím using the CK dropset 1

Everything else should be good to go.

I have four rides on my SB150 and freaking love it! I have been experimenting with suspension and was gonna ask if anybody has recommendations for an aggressive 160 lb rider. I had two tokens up front, stock two in the rear but I just put in an extra on both ends and will try that hopefully this weekend. Running high speed rebound in the rear two clicks slower than recommended, LSC up front is 2-3 clicks firmer than recommended with LSC in the rear being about 1 click firmer.

Check out the Fox website. They have some good starting point recs for both the fork and shock. Also check out the Vorsprung website if you really want to geek out and get a better understanding of HSC/LSC and HSR/LSR.

My rubber guard is starting to peel -- will Yeti replace this? Or how much is the new DT guard?

Just fyi oneup has their 31.6x170 dropper on sale for $170, looks like they have a newer model coming out so old one is on sale. I bought one for my sb150 (large, orange, on the way) as the fox post I wanted wasn't available. I'll still get the Fox post, but this was a great deal for a 31.6 dropper.

250 miles in, about 35k of vert so far, about 25 rides. The SB150 is working very well, no issues. Itís a monster that likes rough trail, but it still does just fine on all trail. First race of the season is next weekend and will be a relay XC race at Philís World, near Cortez, CO. Iíll put an Ardent EXO 2.4 in the front and an Ikon EXO 2.35 in the rear, add a few PSI to the fork and shock, add a few clicks of compression dampening and voila, an XC race bike! After that itíll be enduro racing for the rest of the season. 😂

Speeder1 I agree with all that you posted. I have about 300 miles and 27,000 feet climbing (Utah spring has been tough to get any real climbing in) and the bike is great. I am going to steal your XC tire combo for a ride at the end of summer. Thanks! Good luck with your XC race.

The bike worked just fine for the XC race and if there is any tech in there you can just hang on and send it straight through with your HR pinned. 😜 The fast rolling tires make a huge difference. My team won the geezer class for the second year in a row!

2.5 EXO DHF front and 2.5 DD Aggressor rear went back on today, back to Enduro mode.

Iím also giving a 50mm stem a try. Cockpit feels a little more roomy. I like it on lower angle descents, for climbing, and cornering does not seem negatively impacted. Itís not quite as confidence inspiring as the 40 on steep descents, especially those with hucks and drops mid way down, but thats to be expected. It was a good choice for the XC race and Iíll probably leave it on for a while.

In typical Yeti fashion, the harder you push this thing the better it works. Itís a race bike. It holds a line and hooks up through mid corner rocks and rough stuff really well if you keep leaning, keep the weight on it and trust it.

Just picked up my new frame
Noticed the paint is chipped on the bottom of the head tube
Would you guys think this acceptable for a premium frame? Had the same thing happen on my road bike, and it just started flaking off over time

I've emailed the dealer, just waiting for their response

    My SB150

Just finished building my dream build SB150
    Push Coil front and rear

Ive come from a Trek Slash 9.9 2019 and WOW the Yeti is unreal.
I used to have an SB6 and missed Yeti ownership.

Thought I'd do this build justice

Thatís the bike I came from too, also on a full coil 150. It blows the trek away.

After riding the sb5.5 this morning, spent 20 minutes starting my build. I realized that my xtr 12 shifter is i-spec ev, which I ordered with the appropriate xtr brake lever. However, i bought some magura brakes to go on this build so pondering my options, like using my saint brakes on this bike with the xtr lever or putting the xtr 12 on my sb5.5 and moving my eagle stuff over to the sb150. The latter was my original plan, but just involved more work. I'm still waiting on some parts, so have time to think. The stem is the same as the one I'll use(deity copperhead), except I have an orange one on order. Fork is my mrp ribbon coil 160mm which the reconfigured to a 41 offset(44 wasn't an option). A 170mm Lyrik ultimate is on order(should be another 4 weeks). That aside, should be riding by end of week. The sb5.5 will continue to be my trail bike. This I'm building for park and big DH shuttle rides.
