    ASR-C snapped 2nd gen seatpost clamp - is 3rd gen better ?

    Fellow ASR-C'ers,

    Need new seatpost clamp

Any failures with the 3rd gen. seatpost clamp ? ?

1000 miles road and XC use, the 2nd version (aluminum clamp vs carbon) sheared off. It snapped, with a loud pop, at a minor compression on paved bike trail ~25 MPH. A massive wipeout was avoided. The 2-bolt clamp portion is still nicely attached to the seat mast.

I have been running my version 3 post for just over 2 months over some pretty hardcore terrain. No problems yet.

3rd gen not perfect but best yet. Had to put some electrical tape around the seatmast to stop creaking (just like 2nd gen). At least the seatpost rails dont slide. careful with torque.

    looks the best by far!
