    Interesting...

Will this have 29" or 27.5" wheels?

This bike will disappoint some people hoping for an all new bike. It's really a tweaked SB100 with the SI fixed. Same front tri

A fixed SI and new rear triangle would be a huge improvement over the current SB100.

(speaking as someone who currently is trying to get their frame warrantied )

Yep...disappointment for sure, I was hoping for the new geometry with a bit more travel than the 100. I guess I’ll be picking up the Revel Ranger to replace my 4.5.

Maybe we have to wait for reviews, but if the frame hasn't changed, any idea what is different to allow a bigger shock? Is it just the revised link? If it is, then an old frame plus new link and shock = 115?

The Ranger is going to ride a bit different than this—the 120 SID is quite different from a 130 Fox34, and the rear suspensions feel different. The Ranger is a sweet bike though.

It's the same as what's linked at the bottom of the page under "ARCHIVED OWNER'S MANUALS"

    2003 DH9 OWNER'S MANUAL --> https://yeticyclescom.cdn.prismic.io...Manual_DH9.pdf

This is the same file as what was linked earlier as 2021 SB200

It was titled SB200 so either they are playing a trick on us to see how long it would take to find it - or something is coming out and they are playing games

Just curious, why is everyone commenting disappointed in this release? Aren't the SB100 and 4.5 held in pretty high regard, geometry included? I am fairly new to MTB but have been looking at SB100 and am considering this new bike. Most of my research and reviews comparing the SB100 to other comparable bikes point to it being a great bike.

    What am I missing?

The SB100 and 4.5 are terrific bikes for their time, and while I can't speak for others, IF this bike is marketed as "all-new" for 2021 they should of least spent the money to develop a new mold to incorporate geometry trends in bikes of this category. A 115mm bike with numbers closer to the TY Izzo would have been killer IMO.

My guess is they created a new rear triangle with more clearance to allow a slightly longer stroke shock.

I reckon they'll have to get into the E-Bike game - certainly now that SC has released the Heckler, there will be more people wanting a "boutique" E-Bike that isn't SC. It's a big market segment and although there will be plenty of angst and heartbreak in the US, everywhere else they'll be received well, including down here in Aus.

That Geo chart is hopefully wrong concerning HTA. I'm thinking 66.5 is somewhere around what would be considered new school geo Down Country. I'm sure you can run 140mm front no problems.

That sounds about right. Those numbers seem way too conservative for yeti and a new release.

How do you figure ? They each cater to a slightly different type of rider. Most Transition owners are Bro yah Bro and most Yeti owners are snobs.

If you doubting the bike will be amazing your likely ready to ride a different brand anyways. The Sentinel I owned was pretty much a Dog of a bike except when pointed straight DH and the Patrol V2 was also a bit of a letdown since neither bike pedaled or accelerated well and neither had enough Progression.

I do hear the Sentinel V2 is really good so 2nd times a charm

I tend to believe a heavier built frame is more beneficial unless your wanting an all out XC type bike. The SB100 is a mixed bag regarding its faults but when the bike is running good it’s one of the very best in its travel range.

Have to admit I was skeptical, surely Yeti was going to bump the geo some, just saw a SB115 c1 build (no pictures yet) on bike shop website, you info looks legit

Okay no worries, although a 115-120mm travel bike with really aggressive geometry is kinda Stupid. So knowing transition is a silly bunch of mad scientist rippers it wouldn’t surprise me. 65.5 HA which isn’t fun to ride with that kinda travel but then again you might be correct and I’ll totally retract my words Sorter travel bikes have diminished returns with a long front center and really slack HTA. I think 66 degrees would be the max to keep the bike handling razor sharp.

So if it’s a fox dps 190x45 (same shock size as T429 and Tallboy both 120 bikes) are we thinking there’s an ability to remove the limiter to get 120 travel?

We're splitting hairs, but a 66.5 degree HTA isn't out of place on XC bikes these days (see new Epic EVO). The integrated headset on the SB115 means you won't be able to adjust the HTA either like on some future bikes

I'm a huge Yeti fanboy and I'm struggling to figure out who this bike is for. The 100 was already a tweener xc/trail bike which was ahead of it's time. With the 2.5 DHF, 4 piston brakes and additional travel, it's clear Yeti is trying to up the capabilities of the bike but decided to use the same front triangle which is *hopefully* just a stop gap before something all new come out.

As it stands I don't see many people tempted who aren't already Yeti loyalists. Even within the tribe, how many SB100 owners are contemplating the switch (instead of retrofitting), and how many 4.5 owners are now considering the Revel Ranger? Would 130/150 owners get the SB115 after being acclimated with "modern" geo?

I was actually thinking this...if those numbers are correct..and it's heavier....I'd think lots of people will be looking at the Ranger and Transition (I'm still wanting to demo the Hei Hei)..not to mention the EpicEVO. Add in "not new" bikes like the TopFuel, Ryve, and SniperT where does an SB115 with this geo fit in?

Basically, every mfg seems to be coming with a DC bike that has passed the SB100 geo-wise; this bike seems really under-whelming. I love the SI platform, but with so many good options, I don't see anyone really wanting this bike.*

*of course Tribe members will clamor for it and tell you how great it is...I'm talkin regular folk.

So is the 100 going to be gone after this?

    I'd assume so?

/\That's the one I'm waiting on.

Pity that 115 wasn't a completely new model, I was all set to pounce.

Could they make a lighter, more XC sb100? Something to actually replace the ASRc?

Pretty stoked on the 115...have a white one on order should be here in 3 to 4 weeks they are saying. I have a 100 and a 130 now and might be more excited for the 115 than I was for either of them. Absolutely love my 100 so if it rides and handles like that but a little more compliant in the chunk I will be very happy!!!

Just wanted to let anyone who may be interested know that I’ve started a Private Yeti FB group and I’m focused on building a Rad community. Check it out if you like, it’s private so just answer the 3 questions and owning a Yeti isn’t necessary but being interested in the brand is. “Yeti bikes global shred crew” we already have a bunch of stoked people who are involved in the industry and some of the fastest Ladies on 2 wheels.

So we had some pretty accurate predictions on the SB115, anything else those with knowledge can share? I'm purely a spectator as I'll likely be pulling the trigger on an SB115 to compliment my SB140 - but do enjoy watching and seeing specs for a DH bike would be fun.

I like the sb 115 as I dont need or want a 66.5 HT angle on a xc/trail bike. However, the reach, (with a 50), weight at 28.5-29 lbs with pedals and 170 cranks are a bit of a concern.

Is this around the time of the year Yeti updates specs on all of their bikes? Looking to pull the trigger shortly on an SB140 but would wait if it meant getting the 2021 Fox fork/shock.

Feels like the bike industry started with ‘heavy’ alloy frames....jumped to super lightweight carbon frames that failed at higher rates than normal and are now transitioning back to heavy, carbon frames to improve durability/stiffness with lifetime warranties.

Yes, I think I saw reports that new bikes were shipping with2021 fox now but your LBS should be able to confirm.

This was the reply I got from Yeti a few weeks ago

"Thanks for your interest in Yeti Cycles and the SB130. We generally do out model year changeover in late summer/early fall. We don't discuss new product or any changes until those are publicly released."

That makes sense, but as by custom, hopefully some type of teaser leaks to keep us on our toes.

Hopefully they will announce it soon. I need a new bike and have been told the 2021 Fox stuff with VVT should be good for lighter riders. Also hopeing they keep the grey color on the 2021 SB140. Probably not gonna happen but i'd love it if they announced a 27.5 version of the SB150, or at least in XS/SM sizes.
