    saddle bags?

Just wondering how many of you guys keep a tube, tire lever, pump or even a multi tool on you for a race.
i currently have a saddlebag with all of that in it and a frame mounted pump. my bike weighs in at 28lb 12oz without any of that and weighs 30lb 6oz with it. that seems like a decent jump.
or if your running tubeless how does tire sealant hold up to thorns?
    thanks guys!

    Always

Unless it's a short track or a hill climb I have a small saddlebag with a:

    Tire lever
    CO2
    Der Hanger
    Duct Tape Patch
    Multitool
    2 quick-links with a link in between
    1 cleat bolt

    Tube in my jersey.

    for a XC race:

Big Air w/chuck and Tube in my jersey pocket.

unfortunately in VT none of the shops had big airs and i DNF'd.

if something more than a flat tire happens in an XC race you might as well make the walk of shame, your finish time won't matter.

when not racing i carry everything except the kitchen sink!
