    Fox 32sc Rebound Knob (removable?)

On a lot of Rockshox forks the rebound knob is only held in by an o-ring and can be pulled off. Is that the case with the 32sc or is it bolted in place? It feels wiggly but I didn't want to pull too hard.

I haven't worked on a Fox fork in a long time but last time I did, the rebound knob was secured with a small grub screw.

I called Fox and they said it threads into the rebound shaft. I was hoping it pops in and out so I could take it off once my setting is dialed. No dice cuz you'd then be in the full fast setting after unscrewing it.

It's held on by a small bolt, 2mm or 2.5, can't remember which. You could take it off if you wanted, it wouldn't hurt anything. The knob is quite flimsy. The bolt won't affect the rebound as long as you hold the knob while you undo the bolt. This is kind of important to know because this is how you get at the lowers to do the oil-bath change, which is required fairly frequently with fox forks.

Ah, I see it down there. The Fox rep made it sound like the knob threads into the rod. When I get the fork dialed I'll take it off. More weight savings!

    Edit: It's only 6g.
