Need a Small Steel or Light Aluminum 27.5+ Frame

Help...My wife wants me to build a small 27.5x2.8 tire bike for her and my fatherless nephew. It needs to be that relatively light, 25-27 lbs, she does not care about steel or aluminum. She is 5'4 and wants a generous or adequate stand-over.

I have been looking high and low for size small frame only and it seems that I have picked the wrong time of year or production levels are low for 2018? I have looked at number of built production bikes, but the anchor weighted fork, wheels and components make it non-starter. Following is the size small frames that I have tried to source:

    Timberjack - sold out
    Nimble 9 - sold out
Chameleon - sold out, TT might be too long?
    Hayduke - out of business
    Spec Fuse - sold out
RSD Middlechild - too heavy and long
Surly KM - Wife wont ride a bike named Surly, plus I think tubing is plumber pipe...
Kona Big Honzo - sold out, too heavy?
Chromag Rootdown - don't need 140mm travel bike
    Vassago Jaberwocky - sold out
GG Pedalhead - would like to stay under $800 for the frame, plus too aggressive?

I have checked all the threads for "small, hardtail, 27.5+ hardtail, steel, and aluminum. Please help with any frame or manufacturer that I am overlooking?

    Thanks CDIDriver

You are right, there is not much available for us short people. I would buy one of the Chinese carbon frames from a reputable seller (check the carbon frames threads), load it up with good components and see how it turns out. If she doesn't like the frame then you can move the components over to something different once the new frames become available and you won't be out too much $. Either that or start trawling the classifieds or ebay for a used one.
    Ride like a girl! :cornut:

The diamondback syncr is only $874 with a corporate account and has great specs for the money. NX drivetrain, Shimano brakes, and a 130mm recon silver. The smalls will be in stock mid next month.
