    Bike Shorts Advice for Wife

My wife rides with me only a few times a year. She is more into running which I can't do due to a past knee injury. The times she rides she always is in pain for a couple days from the saddle. Do you have a suggestion for some shorts/leggings that have a lot of padding and are comfortable?

    Thanks in advance!

Shredly shorts and Shredly Yoga chamios. the chamios are key to not being sore afterwards.

Thanks for the help. She normally wears Castelli Chamois and was still sore after.

Maybe these will help a bit more.

I always found that spending longer time in the saddle (especially if I haven't been riding for a while) will cause some soreness. But with more frequency, the sit bones hurt less ...part of your pelvis (the ischial tuberosity, to be exact) literally the bones under the flesh of the butt that you sit on.

You might also want to do a saddle fitting if available. Most bike shops have an Ass-o-metre and it might help to get a measurement the distance between the sit bone for the right size of saddle.

As for bike shorts I have Club Ride baggies and Club Ride chamois. The difference in thickness depends on length of time in the saddle.

^^Good advice. Also check the saddle tilt with a level; I would start with it exactly level and adjust depending upon where the discomfort is. But unfortunately it is tough to ride comfortably just a few times a year. I haven't noticed a huge difference in chamois brands, but usually try to get something higher end when on sale. Be sure to check the size charts too.

Thanks for sharing this great topic, I was also found bike shorts for me but I did'nt select the best and then my friend suggest me Ustradeent store which have many shorts and other apparel accessories its awesome. So, I also recommend you to check this store at once if you need any apparel like these.

My wife really likes the Terry products.
They don't have anything MTB specific, and have way too many products for me to figure it out
Official Terry Site: Womens Cycling Apparel, Saddles & Gear
Also we switched her to an Ergon women's specific saddle over an SQ labs gender neutral (read men's saddle) and she really liked the switch
