    Xlc shifter cable kits $1.69

Apparently, the red housing isn't a big seller. Not comparable to high end kits but probably better than what comes on many bikes.

Cheap enough to grab some black housing separately if buying several sets.

Not bad, but $4.14 shipping makes it less appealing.

Yeah the shipping kind of ruins the deal. Lately I've been buying bulk housing, and separate shift cables, pretty cheap that way.

    Hmmmmm.

    Shipping..... 1 - 4.14, 5 - 4.74, 10 - 5.49

Not a deal breaker for me. I've gone back to slick stainless from coated and saw this while looking for cables. Couldn't find cables alone any cheaper. I might even see how bad that red looks. Should be good with some L3 or the good Shimano housing.

Same here - got a box of 100 stainless for $113.60 about 4 years ago and some bulk Shimano SP41. Who knows? I may eventually run out. They're still the same price today.
