    Universal Cycles.com ?

Any comments on this company (good, bad, indifferent).

Thinking of a purchase, but have no past experience with them so far.

    Thanks.

I've purchased from them a few times with no problems. I'd say if there's something you need/want from them, go for it!

I've dealt with them a few times and haven't had any problems yet. Service has always been prompt with shipping to Michigan.

    Good job!

Excellent customer service for me. I needed some hard to find CK parts in a hurry this week, and they pulled through for me, and gave me the 10% discount even though they weren't yet listed on their website. I will definitely buy from them again.

    Great experience here!

My first order from them was a pretty big order - custom wheelset, fork, and
a bunch of little parts to complete a bike build.

    Everything arrived quickly, and a-ok!

And the wheel build - Mavic 819's and Hadley hubs - is awesome!

    The best!

Mike and the guys are great to work with! They are a bit of a ma and pa outfit compared to Supergo and Performance. Nonetheless, I think Mike has a passion for what he does and does it well. They get my business.

    Chime in here as well...

I've had great experience with them - frame, wheelset, brakes and more. Good prices, good service, etc. Visited their shop in Portland recently just to see who I'd been dealing with. Good outfit & nice folks.

    They're wonderful

Cambria Bike is local to me, but I choose to buy from Pricepoint, Jenson USA or Universal Cycles.

Mike and the guys at Universal Cycles are a class A act all the way!! I've been buying from Mike for about 10+ years now and he's always a wealth of unbiased honest information. He doesn't sell you something just to make a sale, he sells you something because its what will fit your needs. I've bought frames and hundreds of parts from him.

He's actually talked me out of purchases before because he knows my style and needs. He has even stopped carrying some product lines because I personally had problems with the product. This dude stands behind the product he sells.

As you can see, I'm a loyal customer of his shop. He's a stand out dude and can be trusted 110%. Universal rules!

    Universal's CS is top notch

I can't say enough about Universal. IMO, they are the best. I've been ordering from these guys since 1999. Never had a single problem and they price match. I like how they send you email confirmations of when your package will ship and then again once it has shipped with a tracking number as well.

Other than Beyondbikes, I have had good luck with all the rest and never hesitate to buy from any of them. Jenson, Cambria, Greenfish, Performance/Supergo/Nashbar, Wheelworld, Airbomb, Alfred, Richard's Bicycles to name a few more. As far as mail order wheel builds or needing help with a project Universal and Richard's are awesome!
