    Pro's closet

Any thoughts on these guys. They sell used bikes but also some new components. Looking at a new Fox DPX2 shock from them. Cost would be under $300. But no warrenty. but unused.... So wondering if this is legit

Theyre terrific. I think the gold standard of ebay.

One time they sent me wrong used front derailleur, every possible spec was different from what was advertised. They immediately sent me a new one and paid for the return.

They do something interesting with the complete bikes they sell. Some are as-is and some are "certified". The certified ones can be returned for any reason within 30 days and they give you a value that they will buy it back for within 18 months. The kicker is, if you elect store credit instead of a check when you sell a bike back to them, they will give you a bonus above what is quoted. All in all it's a pretty cool program.

I believe The Pro's Closet has a "Trade In" deal worked out with Backcountry/Competitive Cyclist now... they're definitely expanding their offerings in creative ways.

I've bought parts from them several times. Have been to their Boulder, CO location to pick parts up.

    Cool group of people
I like 'em long, low, slack and playful

That $350 for the Z1 is a great price considering you can add the vorsprung coil conversion and have a monster fork at not a bad price.

Still like 'em, but the shipping calculator on their website is whack. It wanted to charge me $35 for a dozen or so small items.

Funny, I paid $10 shipping for a huge retail boxed fork. I absolutely love TPC, super fast shipping, no UPS crap.

That's totally reasonable. I was looking at small bits that I could ship myself at retail prices for less than $10 and I'm sure they get a volume discount. Their system clearly needs tweaking (also, their cart system is a PITA).
