    Giro Indicator Helmet - $15.98 @ Dicks

I know these aren't the latest and greatest MIPS enduro helmet, but this was my go-to helmet before I bought a higher end Scott brand.

Still a good helmet for keeping in the car as a spare, or lending out or for around town kiddie hauling, etc.

Nice deal! Probably should mention $6 shipping unless you get over $49 + 4% AJ cashback.

lol at the reviewer complaining that the helmet is 2 years old. Helmets don't "expire". Good deal, but I'm going to pass because I prefer to try before I buy on helmets.

Actually, it's recommended to replace helmets every five years, but that's five years of use. Probably not what this person was complaining about.

I'm aware of the boilerplate that manufacturers and the organizations they fund put out.

Tests have shown that age alone does not affect helmet performance: https://helmets.org/up1505a.htm

The other factors are up to you. But for them to just say "every 5 years" is misleading. A 5 year old helmet that has sat on a shelf gives the SAME performance it did when it was new. It does not expire like this reviewer stated. But I don't blame her, really. She was mislead by an org she trusted.
