    Cheap Single Speed

So, I'm going back to graduate school and the campus is friggin huge. I have to park a mile or more from the building where I am taking classes. This does not bother me too much as it's a great excuse to buy a commuter/messenger type bike. As I no longer am making any money I'm looking for something cheap. I am envisioning a messenger type bike- i.e. a single speed track or cyclocross build.

I've checked all the usual places but I was wondering if anyone had a better idea. My budget is 200-250, old and used is fine.

Motobocane on Ebay, I've seen a new 26er Singlespeed for $300 and the 29er version for $330. Shippinh might push you over. But then again you don't have to drive around looking for a nice bike. Give Ebay a search. ^^
