    best prices on Schwalbe tires?

Does anyone have a good source for discounted Schwalbe tires? Specifically 29's. I've checked out Backcountry/CC and Amazon and they are basically full price.

Purchasing from overseas is way cheaper. Check out www.merlincycles.com to see if they have what youre looking for.

If you plan on buying a bunch, or can get some friends to go in on a group purchase with you, its hard to beat buying from german sites, and paying the steep shipping fee. Ive used www.bike-discount.de with great results in the past, but others have used star bike.

Awesome! Thanks for this, I just checked Merlin and they were WAY less expensive, even with shipping!

Merlin will ship free to the US if it's over a certain amount (around $80 IIRC). It's somewhere in their shipping terms. I usually end up ordering a couple tires or other parts together to make it more worthwhile .

Yup, when I checked out, it offered me free shipping, great deal! Shipping via TracPak, not sure what that is, but the 4-6 day estimate seems reasonable to me for overseas.

I order from Merlin as well and shipping is hit & miss with customs. I've had a pair of pedals take 20 days and my last order arrived in 5 or 6. I don't know what Schwalbe tires cost at Merlin but we were getting them for $40 at hibike in Germany. Rocky Mountain tires were usually $29-31.

Bought mine through Merlin. At the time I paid $72 for my Hans Dampf and Nobby Nic including shipping.

    bike-discount.de

Shipping to the use is like $20, but the prices are insane. Buy a couple sets, sell some on ebay to recoup the shipping cost, or just have spares.

I started to, and should have, included some tires I want to try on a bike-components.de order. Great prices and immediate shipping, but it did take 3 weeks to get my stuff from them.
I just ordered 2 Schwalbe tires from ebay seller "abaxo".
29x2.35 NN and MM, $64.49 and $61.83 with free expedited shipping and $3 off for ordering multiple items. Cheaper than the usual internet bike shop prices, anyway.

I'm thinking about placing another bike-discount.de order. Would anyone be interested in a bulk group order to save on shipping costs? US-shipping should be like $5/set. PM me if you want to work out details.
