Upset Xiamen A-ONE Bicycle Co. (Speedsafe brand): pay attention... :(

Thank you for accepting me in the forum.I want to warn everyone.I bought two pairs of complete wheels (1280 gr, 240s, cx-ray, 30mm carbon rim) on aliexpress. The seller is Xiamen A-ONE Bicycle Co, the brand is "SPEEDSAFE" https://speedsafewheels.it.aliexpress.com/store/1531096 After just a month of use xc the back circle of my friend has cracked. We asked the seller who asked us for the photos from various angles but then he did not reply to the messages. I write every day but never responds. It seems to me an incorrect behavior. thank you all
    Good day, Eros

From looking at the prices I can't understand why you didn't buy from a seller with a proven track record like light bicycle or nextie.

Well, when you come here posting about a company that no one has every heard about before, it's not surprising when there are issues.

I have Light Bicycle, Nextie rims, and I'm currently testing out some Oxive rims. All have been solid and I'm trying to document my process with the Oxive rims. If these all have higher prices, then it's likely you are getting what you pay for, quality, reputation and someone that can be contacted if something goes wrong. None of these are an excuse for running the pressure too low of course. A month of XC use is meaningless if you are banging the rim against the ground.

Perhaps there is a reason for that.

    1280 gr, 240s, cx-ray, 30mm...

Build quality aside, those seem feather light.

Good to hear you are back on track. Good luck with things.

Maybe they're only safe at speed? OP was riding too slow so it cracked.

Jayem, how do you like the Oxives? I came across them on C-Town and wondering if anyone has had any luck with them.

Seem great, there are a few others running them on the boards and no issues. Seem every bit as good as my nexties, LBs and any other carbon rim. Been racing on them.

any chance that rim got hot behind vehicle exhaust, such as on a car rack ?

that looks like what happens when carbon sees too much heat

    ^

depending on where you are, it can be 137 to 172 degrees inside a car and objects inside it

if one of those objects is a cheap carbon rim that doesn't have high performance resin (chances are no high performance resin on a cheap wheel that is not using the rim as a braking surface) that can explain the failure. heat + cheap carbon is very bad. inside a car on a sunny day is or can be brutal to carbon.

I am not saying it is heat damage, but it looks like it.

Hi @eros.pedron ... just about buying two wheelset from SpeedSafe when I did a final search and found your thread.

Definetly I am not asking if you recommend buying to SpeedSafe but did they find a solution to your issue?

It is ironic but this is what I got in a message:

Can i know the exact specification of the wheel you want?

And our 30mm x 22mm light XC rims contain 64% T800, and the rest with T700.

Our SPEEDSAFE has high reputation in Spain.

Our rims' warranty is 1 year, and we will KEEEP OUR WORDS, please don't worry.

But no hit on the rims.

    Best regards,

    Salina
Did any of you hear about eiecarbon? For what I guess they are a tradeoff option between price and quality.

Also I found this link what makes me not being so suspicious eiecarbon review
