    WTB Vigilante 2.5 TCS Tritec

Anyone using one of these? Thoughts on them compared to similar options (e.g. Magic Mary, DHF 2.5, etc)?

Yes, I've been using the 2.5 Tough/ High Grip pretty much since their release. I can only compare to the venerable Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5 WT, Exo. It is a great alternative, if you want something different than all the fanboys run. It's a super burly tire, has maybe a bit more bite thanks to the pointier knobs and it rolls a bit slower, however as a front tire that really doesn't matter much it's only an issue if you plan to run it on the rear.

Wear seems acceptable, I haven't noticed any more wear than any other tire I've used. It's a pretty high volume tire, at least compared to the WTB Judge 2.4 and seems a bit more voluminous than the DHF it replaced.

I like it more than the DHF it replaced, but then again I'm partial to WTB tires, but nothing wrong with Maxxis. If you want to try something different, go for it, you won't find it lacking in any area compared to the DHF. Good luck.

I replaced a DHF with one on the front and am really liking it so far. It seems to have much better transitional grip than the DHF.

This is in PNW steep wet roots, rocks, and mud.
