Where to find Mavic Crossmax XL 20mm adapters
I bought a used set of Mavic Crossmax XL wheels a couple weeks back on the assumption that I'd be able to convert them to 20mm for my gf's bike. I guess the wheels are old enough Mavic isnt stocking parts for them.

Does anybody know of any shops that have a spare set or have a personal set in your toolbox?

    Thanks a ton!

Had the same issue; bought used wheels but the seller lost one of the adaptors.

I found mine on eBay for under $20

So, what is the feeling on the current version of the Crossmax XL 29? Anyone have them?
Not as light as I would like, but I like Mavic wheels and the 23mm internal width looks nice.

    WoodstockMTB,

Full disclosure: I ride and work with Mavic, so I have a skewed opinion, but I've spent a lot of time on these wheels. If you're a fan of Mavic wheels they have a similar ride quality to what you'd expect, but they are the widest rims they've ever made. You'll notice the ability to run slightly lower pressure as well as having a wider "stance" when cornering hard. The weight is pretty comparable to the older ST model which doesn't put them in the XC race category but plenty light for XC and all day excursions.

    Hi,
I read this thread a while ago and decided to reproduce them from the original specs. Mavic no longer supplies these. I have added them to my ebay store:

Huge gravedigging. I just got a used Titus with Crossmax XL 26's. The seller told me the black pieces are no longer made, and I wanted to find a set to be safe. From what I can see, what you have made is the exact piece I need. Can you confirm?
