What the heck size rim tape for 27.5+ ?

    Hey all,

Looking to go tubeless on my 27.5+ bike. I have new tires, stans sealant and valvestems but im unsure of what width tape to get? Only really need to cover the spoke holes or do i need to try and fill as much of the inside of the rim as i can ? They're tubless ready wheels but i dont care for the oem tape so i wanted to put some fresh stuff in.

It depends on the width of the specific rim, not the size of the tire or bike. Ideally, the tape will span the entire width of the rim even going up under the bead hook a mm or so. Measure the internal width of the rim and get tape 3-5mm wider. It needs to be wider than the straight line width you measure because the distance following the rim bed is longer than that.
    Do the math.
