Those who've ridden Magic Mary//Hans Dampf... any other combos you prefer more??

Mine are wearing down, and looking to replace with same or different combo.

For those of you who've ridden MM/HD combo, have you switched to another combo that you prefer? Seeking as good or better grip/weight balance. Not worried about wear rate.

    Thanks very much!!

I prefer a maxxis aggressor in the rear to go with my magic mary in the front

Morsa rear with xr5 front is my favorite trail bike combination.

My off season hardcore wheels are shod w/2.5Ē WTB Verdict front, 2.6Ē MM rear. Not a light combination but as close to Velcro as Iíve found for PNW conditions.

My summer wheels weigh a pound and a half less.

great suggestions, guys. thank you. Verdict/MM combo sounds like I can climb an inverted wall! Espec with conditions like PNW, that makes sense. here in SoCal, I think my MM/HD combo is a little overkill, but I like it anyway.

Likely, I'll move to Maxxis Aggressor (thx @LaXCarp) rear and DHF front..... or.... Morsa/XR5 combo (appreciate it @MillerC)

I run a Maxxis DHF 2.5 front and Aggressor 2.5 rear in socal, fantastic combo for the conditions.

My go to for the Alps - MM SG front/rear (before it was MM/HD). not the lightest combo, but great grip everywhere.

Other option would be Michelin Wild Enduro front/rear.

It might be worth looking into the Michelin Wild enduro front and rear.

Similar in design to the MM and HD, but with really well supported side/cornering lugs.

For SoCal I might try an assegai/dissector combo though. Havenít ridden it, but by all accounts it sounds like they both excel in the drier conditions.

I run a Magic Mary in the front on one set of wheels and the Hans Dampf in the front on the other set. Both wheelsets use the Rock Razor as a rear tire.
I feel the Magic Mary has better grip in corners but the Hans Dampf is a little faster rolling.
Both great tires in my opinion.

I've been using the Hans Dampf 2.6 Speed grip up front and a Vittoria Aggaro 2.3 in the rear for the last few months and really like the combo for NorCal conditions. Fast rolling with good bite in the loose over hard.
