Rim Offset? - Need different hub?

Sorry for such a newb question, but...
My kid blew out his rear wheel. I started looking at a new rim (RaceFace ARC 30 HD) and it is offset. I would imagine i don't need a special rear hub for this and I can just have the rim built around his Hope EVO Pro 2 hub correct?
There isn't like some special rear hub i have to get is there?
Sorry, i know nothing about offset wheels apart from i have read they make it stronger i guess.

    Thanks for any input.

you don't need a special hub, but you need to include the rim offset in spoke length calculations. the offset rim means that the "bracing angle" of the spokes as they come out of the hub is closer to equal on each side, which should make a stronger wheel.

Cool, thanks. I kinda figured that with the spokes. I can lace MX wheels, i suck at MTB wheels. LBS will be doing this one.

if you can lace a MX wheel, you can lace a MTB wheel. believe in yourself! also, if your LBS is anything like the ones around here, they are swamped with labor due to the pandemic and will take weeks go get that wheel done.
