    Michelin Wild Gripper Differences

About 1 month apart I ordered two sets of Michelin Wild Grippers. First set was 2.35s. Second set was 2.25s. When I received the 2.25s, I noticed they were slightly different. Every other set of center blocks is spaced wider than on the 2.35s. There also seems to be a slight variation in the design of other blocks. The 2.35s have the ADVANCED GUM-X print on the the sidewall, while the 2.25s do not have any compound reference (I'm familiar with the GUM-X and MAGIC-X). The 2.25s also say to mount the rear in the reverse direction.

Was there a change to the design of the tire, and I simply received an older version of the 2.25s from the seller?

I ask because the 2.25s seem to be the better tire. The 2.35s are definitely softer (they puncture easier) and the sidewalls weaker (they weep sealant). I'd rather not purchase them again, but wonder if the 2.25s are now like this.

    Thanks.
