    Maxxis Aggressor (front and rear).

It is considered a rear tire, or most people use it as a rear tire. Anyone run Maxxis Aggressors front and rear?
Soon I値l be replacing my DHF/DHR2 tires and looking for a combination with good traction but faster rolling.

I ran a Aggressor 2.5 up front for a while, it works but not the greatest tire up front. Replaced it with a Specialized Eliminator 2.6 (actually its more like a 2.5), rolls just as fast as Aggressor 2.5 if not faster and much better tire up front.

I've only briefly ridden a bike with one on the front. I didn't think it was that bad but I'd probably go with something with ramped knobs instead. Either DHF/Aggressor or Forekaster/Rekon.

I ride it f/r 2.5/2.35. Full rigid set up. Its money. Rolls well, never folds or buckles handles and steers great.

I tried this and it was OK but I went back to an ardent 2.4 upfront--but I would not discourage you from giving it a try

I've been considering one up front for summer

I have a friend that ran 2.5s on both ends and liked it.

I was hoping they would bring out a 3c so I could give it a try in the front. I just do not trust a DC for a set and forget tire. If I lived in a place like AZ. then I would likely run them for a bit to try it out.

I wouldn't consider the Aggressor a fast rolling tire. I took mine of the back. XR4, magic Mary, recon, race king, racing Ralph. All would work. The new Kendall Boost looks very nice but to narrow for me.

Thanks everyone for the responses so far.
When I say faster rolling, I mean faster than the DHF or DHR2 tires, and with good traction.

I'm replacing my DHF with a 2.6" Rekon and replacing the 2.35" Rock Razor in the rear with a 2.35" Ikon. Hoping it's a good combo. The DHF is a good tire, but not exactly needed where I live.

A 2.5 Aggressor up front, paired with a 2.35 Schwalbe Rock Razor out back ^^

Great for dry, hardpack, rocky terrain.

The 2.3 Aggressor is far too narrow a tyre for serious riding imho...

Unfortunately my bike is limited to a 2.4 max tire.

I actually love the Rock Razor, saw it on sale on Jenson for like $30 so I figured I'd try it. Worked very well.

    Maxxis Aggressor (front and rear).

How does it compare to the DHF and DHR2 tires in durability and speed?

There is only one way to find out. Chain Reaction Cycles has a 60-65% off on them so I ordered a pair to try them out.

The 2.3 Aggressor tires (F/R) are installed.
They are narrower than the DHF/DHR2 tires.
Test time will be some time next week.

Ok. I have done a few rides with the Aggressors (front/rear) and I like them.
The first couple of rides were a learning process. But I知 sold now. Similar (a bit less) cornering traction and feel faster than the DHF/DHR2 combo.
