    Mavic 27.5 DeeMax WTS Pro

Saw these on Competitive for a decent price thinking they'd be a decent upgrade to the wtb/SRAM i25 that came on my D build 5010. The tires don't seem to have rave reviews but they're included and they got knobs?

Also saw a new(to me) named brand on there "Mercury" that had a similar spec/weight wheelset, anybody had luck with these?

~135# agg xc rider on NorCal trails.

    Thanks in advance.
Wait whuuut, who did he tell you that!?!?....

Has Mavic lost its market in the wheel industry?

They're under $500 for the set. For that price, they're really not a bad deal. They are very strong wheels, even if they are goofy 24h. I run basically the same width setup, but 24/27 instead of their 25/28, with no complaints or regrets.

If you value looks, they look pretty good. All in all, id rather have 32h wheels, but some people really like system wheels, and its not like those will break on you. It is a DH wheelset afterall.
