Hozan Spoke Threader - Thread Length?

Does anyone have a Hozan threader?
How long threads can it do at it's max? 20mm, or more?

Way more than 20mm. You could probably thread a whole spoke.

I had one, but sold it because its painfully slow and doesnt really roll consistent or clean threads. It has a weird tapered rolling cone. I know you're trying to do something different, so maybe it'll work for you!
WTB: Small aluminum hardtail 26 or 27.5 frame. Pm me!

    Thanks!
How can it do so long? It seems like you could only thread until the spoke contacts the large shaft the head is mounted to. Unless the shaft is hollow?

Hmm, now I'm second guessing myself. I do remember playing with mine and threading one spoke super long. I only use butted spokes so maybe I just threaded a whole butted section (not that long anyway).

Looking at pictures, I dont think the shaft is hollow, but the head certainly is. It would thread at least the length of the head.

I suppose you could use the head only and do whatever length thread you wanted. You'd just need to turn it with a wrench and hold the spoke with something.

It would be trivial to deliver the shaft to a machine shop and have them drill out the center to 2.5mm...but as a stock rolling head/shaft, maybe 15-20mm?

You are right I think just use the head only. Ordered one from eBay for $50, and I'll mount it to a drill. Spoke end can be held with pliers or something.
