I do love the DHF. But find it overkill and draggy for most trail rides.

After a few rides, I’ve found the Dissector works as a great front ‘mini-DHF’ for dusty/dry/rocky/loose west conditions.

I put up a longer (too long!) review on the Dissector thread... and there’s prob a half-dozen others there with similar conclusions.

    Good to have options!

The DHF cakes up nicely once the mud gets sticky icky: https://imgur.com/gallery/n9NkReo
    - a true mud tire! (Kidding, I love the tire otherwise)

I’ve run them, the 3C/EXO/TR 29x2.6WT. They are tough as nails and eat chunky rocks! The only downsides is the are not a high volume or supple feel type of tire. If you’re riding a fully rigid single speed, these qualities are nice.

ANY tire will look like that in sticky clay mud. Actually one of my fave setups is DHF's front AND rear for our winter rain season here in the Pacific NW. They don't slide out (as much) on wet roots like the DHR2 w/ it's long unsiped horizontal center knobs. I have heard of some riders siping those knobs with success but have yet to try it.

    Have FUN!
