Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! having trouble getting rid of flat spot on new wheelset....

I just bought a new wheelset from PricePoint (Mavic 717/XT) and whomever laced it up did a pretty shotty job. Both came out of true with a nice flat spot in them. I pulled them apart and relaced them but I'm having trouble getting rid of the flat spot. Any guidence or suggestions??

Don't overlook the potential that the flat spot is in the rim itself which probably won't be something you can fix with spoke tension.

pretty much all rims have a small flat spot at the joint, some much more than others. if that's the case there's nothing spoke tension can do to change it. pretty much a non issue though, once you slap on a 2.1-2.5 tire you'll never know it's there.
