FSA QR rear hub: How do I remove the spindle?

    Greetings,

I have an old FSA xc-290 wheel set in great shape. I'm thinking about swapping out its 10-sp free hub with an 11-sp free hub. I want to do a dry run of removing the current free hub. However, I can't figure out how the f* to get the axle out. I've never had to tap an axle out before and don't want to start experimenting before I check in with people whose brains actually function.

The two photos show the hub with end caps removed. They popped right off.

Thanks for any tips or guidance you care to share!

Yep. A couple taps on the non-drive side loosened the axle and I pulled it out by hand.

    Thanks for the help!
