    Front/Rear Tire Width help

I'm building my first FS bike.

I bought an I9 Enduro S Wheelset with Torch hubs and have moved on to the difficult task of choosing tires.

I have been using DHFs on my hardtail (f/r) for awhile and love them. But for my bomber, I was planning on a DHR II 2.40WT DC/Exo/TR for the rear and a DHF for the front. My dilemma is that I'm not sure what tire size to get for the front. They don't make 2.40 sizes in DHF.

I guess it's my OCD to have F/R tires in matching widths. But if I can't, I'll guess I'll have to offset the widths. To me, it kinda make sense to run a 2.50 upfront for better cornering with a 2.40 in back.

Curious as to others' opinions. I was planning on using 2.50 front and rear but there is no 2.50 offered in DHR II flavors. Conversely, there are no 2.40 sizes offered on the DHFs.

Has anyone used the 2.50/2.40 F/R tire set before? I know this is kind of relative and preference-related. But any help is much appreciated.

Nobody really cares about matching front and rear widths for the most part, and most usually go a little wider in front for marginally better traction.

    This.

Run a DHF 2.5 WT on the front and youíll be fine.

I have always run a wider tire up front. No one makes fun of me.
