    Equalizer 27 to Flow EX

I'm thinking of switching my EQ27 rims for some FLOW EX rims. Will I notice a big difference in terms of width? I'm planning to give tubeless a try sometime. Should I spring for the new rims or the just go ghetto with the EQ27?

I usually run Hans Dampf or Trail Kings/Rubber Queen tires.

I have converted a EQ27 to tubeless with Gorilla Tape but I do not consider it the best candidate. The rim shape does not provide a good seat for the tibe bead to rest on for sealing so only the bead area is getting sealed. This makes them more likely to burp than rims that provide a nice seat for the tire bead. This might be improved using a Stans Rim Strip instead of tape. Otherwise I feel the EQ27 is a solid rim.
