Double down tires not rimming on Bontrager wheels

Hey ! I have been trying to seat Maxxis double down tires on Bontrager comp wheels (aluminum AND carbon) and the tire just doesn't sit. It keeps loosing the bead so I was wondering if it's the original rim strip from Bontrager that is too high or bead too weak ? I only experience this with double down and Bontrager comp wheels either aluminum or carbon. Thanks !

So you were able to get the DD tires onto a line comp wheel? Just asking cause I have been struggling with this and have pretty much given up.

No problems getting the tire onto the rim. My problem is the tire not holding To the bead. Keeps on burping.

I might have stronger hands tho 😉
