or 7075?

I'm looking at building a light rim for hard pack and asphalt use.

It's not for jumps, DH.

So far I've narrowed the spokes to Sapim's Xray.

Hubs will be either Chris King or Hopes.

I'm totally open to suggestions if I've missed something.

Why 7000 specifically?
Just curious, why not just look for high quality, light XC rims? (Mavic X717, DT 4.1 etc) Not all rim specs include the alloy number, often the manufacturer's trade name (for example the Mavic 717 uses "Maxtal" alloy).
