    comfortable 27.5 28 spoke rims

I am looking for an advice. I would like to change my harsh enve Hv 70/30 rims for something more comfortable. I would like to stay around 28-32IW. Most likely will use my non boost King hubs.
    I am light at 140lbs.

I had a set of I9 Hydra Trail S wheels and they rode considerably less harsh than my Roval carbon and Reynolds Carbon. I bought them in May had about 8-10 rides on them, just cut the hubs off and sent them to I9 to re-lace them to 29er rims, thats how much I liked how they rode.

Make ya a smoking deal on a pair of 27.5 rims, lol. (28 hole- i27)

Put 2.4+" tires on them and run lower pressures. Rims aren't going to make that much difference.

I have to disagree, not to start a pissing match but I experienced the ride this past summer. My carbon rims one set i30 with 2.6 tires and one set i35 with 2.6 rode noticeably stiffer than the i27 aluminum rims with 2.3 tires. IDK...maybe I'm full of poo or I just wanted to believe as much but the proof was in the ride.

No, you're not full of anything. I notice rim stiffness in steering, but with all of the absorption in tires (unless you're running 40 psi) I've never noticed it in ride comfort. +/- air pressure makes more of a difference, IME when it comes to harshness. Think about the impact deflection in a tire Vs. deflection in a rim - unless you're rim striking like crazy.

No pissing. A typical mtb tire can easily compress 2" under and impact. How much does the rim compress under that same load? I'm gonna say less than a mm (2% of 2"), because if it was more, you'd always have your wheels going out of true and you'd be breaking spokes all the time.
    Do the math.

These do look good. I live about 15min from Crank Brothers and know few guys riding these wheels. Not sure I want to invest in a whole wheel set, since my 27.5 bike is a non boost. I would rather just reuse my current Chris Kings which are both 28 spokes. That means running the same 28 wheel in the back as well...
