acceptable rim defects?? (new alex blizzerk - are these likely 2nds?)

The issues with these (new) rims below seem serious to me. What are your thoughts?

I bought two pair of alex blizzerks (same seller). They arrived with no immediately noticeable shipping damage. HOWEVER I was _really_ surprised at some glaring quality issues, at least as compared to the > 10 other rims/wheelsets I've had on my & families other bikes (and set up tubeless... so you know, paying attention.)

Alex blizzerk 90 (not SL, ~hybrid single/double wall). Pinned joint. All look perfectly round to the naked eye, haven't got around to measuring ERD to order spokes yet.

    problems:
    • visible "air gap" in one of the rims. Easily slide 2 layers of paper in the gap
    • slightly diagonal joint/seam on two of the rims. Off enough to be obviously visible.
    • ~1mm jump at the joint in the center of the rim (single layer Aluminum at that point).

    Pictures, in order, below

it was really easy to slide this folded paper in. Could probably fit more. round up to 1mm?

I wasn't looking for issues like this, the joint is diagonal enough to be immediately visible

3 of the 4 rims have really bad joint matching. The bead seats are ~pretty close, but the center is way off. Obviously not going to be perfect all the time for a non-welded (and ground) rim, but this seems really high?

normal for a mid-lo range fatbike rim
(alexrims are general purpose rims, not high end, imho and experience)

my mulefut80 have a gap at the weld that is similar... it's straight but can fit paper in.

alexrims in my experience are plenty stronk....

    just run it, dawg.

The gap and the uneven vertical alignment would not make me bat an eye, but the slanted joint would make me return the rim. But that's me.

Alex rims are kind of janky.

ok, thanks for the replies. I don't care about the aesthetics, bikes are dirty ...

if no one has any concerns about durability (or, especially whether I was sold 2nd's without being told), then I'm fine with it. Will just have to seal that crazy gap for the toobless...
