37mm SC Reserve rims too wide for MAxxis 2.5WT tires?

Just wondering if that wide of a rim would ruin the profile on a non-2.6 tire. Thanks

2,5wt works nice on Ibis 35mm rims. 2mm shouldnt make much difference

Of course it would. I'm running 2.5 DHF and Aggressor on mine. Best riding wheelset I've ever owned and I've tried almost all of the major players. I'm not sure if it's the 37mm width or Santa Cruz' overall design but they are sweeeeeet!!!

Did you say "of course it would" in regards to 2mm not making that much of a difference? thanks

No, Gilgo and I posted at the same time. I was saying "of course, 2.5 tires will work just fine on those wheels of yours". I love mine set up with 2.5 Maxxis tires.

I am considering this rims - would be great to hear more of people's experiences with them - especially on the 2.5 and 2.6 tires out there. I have heard the Reserves seem to have the compliance vs. stiffness equation figured out.

Many/most tires <2.5 wont work well on those rims. But tires that will work on those rims are increasingly more common. All the WT maxxis tires are good for those.
