    29x2.6 Nobby Nic / XR4 / Rekon - Comparisons?

Anyone try out two or all three of these options and have any insight on their performances? I would be mounting mine to i29 rims. Looking for something quick and comfortable with decent traction.

If you have compared the smaller dimension versions (like a 2.3 of each) how did they compare?

Sub'd. I'm interested as well. I'm personally looking at the Rekon and XR4 in 2.6. I don't think the NN's are durable enough. I want to just go ahead an buy the Rekons, but keep hearing that they roll slowly. Hoping that the XR4s will roll well, and have a better sidewall than the NN's.

Exactly what I'm trying to decide between at the moment (primarily Rekon vs. XR4, NN to a lesser degree). It's been 6-months since the last post so I'll subscribe and give the thread a bump to see if any insight now.

I have XR4 front and Rekon 3C on the rear. I really don't like the rekon much it feels squirmy under my 220+ lbs and sort of slow. I love the XR4. I am going to change the rear to either an xr4 or xr2 next year, but trying to ride the rekon for a bit to get my money's worth. The rekon on i36 rims is wider at hte casing than the tread and is fairly square. The XR4 is much more rounded and well balanced. The casing of the XR4 has been much more durable than the rekon....

Can confirm - XR casing is really punching up a weight class as far as durability is concerned. I'm running an XR4 front and XR3 rear. Great tires and super underrated.

If you don't think the Nobby Nic is durable enough they do offer it with the Apex casing. 11601025 65-622 (29 x 2.60) SnakeSkin, TL Easy Apex Addix Speedgrip

I wonder if the Rekon in DC, 60TPI EXO would be better suited for rear use? Casing should be stiffer and presumably more durable?
I like 'em long, low, slack and playful
