    26" Wheelset Options Today - Disc, 15 & 12x142

Had a vision last night, and determined I needed a Pivot Mach 5.7 Carbon before they - and 26" wheels - vanish. Placed the order today and am shocked at how hard it is to find a good deal on wheels for the beast. Who knew that after reigning supreme for so many years, 26" would be hard to find so quickly?

Anyone have leads? I'd prefer something 1600g or lighter, 15mm QR up front, 142x12 in back, Centerlock would be nice, but not required.

    Thanks all

budget will dictate many people's answers. what's yours?
    Rigid SS 29er
    SS 29+
    Fat Lefty
    SS cyclocross
    Full Sus 29er (Yuck)

Stop asking how much it weighs and just go ride it.

Excellent call - I can spend a grand or more at a number of online wheel building sites, but I was hoping to find a deal on a factory pair.

I had this same vision late last year and I considered a Mach 5.7, but went with a Blur TR instead.

Anyway, I scored a set of 2013 Spank Oozy Evo26 wheels about 2 months ago from Jensen for $340 shipped. This wheelset is now called the Oozy Trail 260 but it's the same 1650g 28H configuration.

At the time, my next-best alternatives were mostly from Germany - the strength of the US dollar will go far when spending euros. Check here for starters: Wheels MTB Wheel 26" Sets Online Shop | Bike-Discount

ColinL, thanks much for the heads up. Ordered DT Swiss XM 1501's from Bike Discount. Air shipping from Germany was less than I'd pay across California.
