    2.7 tire in 27mm rim

    Hello
Was wondering if I could set this up tubeless ? Thoughts?
    Thanks
Luke, this is your father's lightsaber. I cut him in 1/2 to get it.

Tubless setup requires 2 things -a rim that can be sealed with tape.
A tire that is rated as tubless ready. You CAN use a non tubeless ready tire but it will seep more quickly.

It seems though like in general, the rim is too narrow, or the tire is too wide to be a good match.

Others know more than I do and the only experiences is the stock 31mm Specialized Roval with the stock 2.35 tires.

The consensus is that a min of 30mm inner rim width is required to run tires larger than 2.4." Larger tires would work but you need to inflate them higher to get a stronger sidewall and without having them rolling off the rims. Of course, that would defeat the purpose of having a larger tire with lower air pressure.

I ran a 29x3 Chupacabra on a Stans Crest rim (21mm inner) for a few thousand miles of singletrack without issue. Inflated it to 13 psi. (I'm 160lbs). Worked fine till I built up a proper wheel.

    30mm width, not diameter.

Hey, could you slow down with the details? I can't process all this info at once.

Ty for the responses. I had a 2.3 lying around and went with that instead.
