    Whistler and Crankworks

    Hey guys,

I am going to be riding whistler for the first time during crankworks. I had a couple of questions. I am an intermediate rider. I like jumps and berms but not free ride stuff. I ride a Gen 1 Santa Cruz 5010. Is this enough bike for Whistler? Should I rent a DH bike? Also how easy is it to demo bikes? Is it possible to demo bikes all week and not rent one? I know thats a long shot but just wondering.

    Thanks

The demo bikes are a bit of a crap shoot, you're only supposed to have them for like an hour, don't rely on demoing bikes because you will barely get any riding in and you may miss your size and stuff too. Your 5010 will work in the park but I would recommend renting a DH bike for the park. Reserve early; crankworx is a very busy time for the park. Take your 5010 for some trail riding outside the park too!

I would not ride my V1 5010 in the bike park, much more fun on a rental DH bike. I've rented from 3 different stores and had good experience each time.
