trail loss on the north shore vancouver
We have have a huge rock slide on the seymour river. This has blocked the river creating a new lake and blocking access to upstream travelling salmon.
The bridge called twin bridge is under water and will be dismantled when it is safe to do so. This bridge connected fishermans trail and homestead trail to the other side of bridge since 1908.
Now thre is no way to ride Fromme then carry of to seymour trails like hyannis, salamander etc. Bottletop trail is permanently closed until it can be rerouted since the exit is now under 4 meters of water...
The district says no new bridge will be built.
    So sad and fkd

Mother Nature sure has a strange sense of humour.

Someone needs to scout a trail from Greenland to the dead end of the Suicide Branch road off the East Branch road so there's another link across the Seymour.

    Retweet Mathew Bond (@mrmathewbond):
50 people on Bottletop today. If people continue to ride, @MetroVancouver will decommission the entire trail immediately. @NSMBA @NSMB
