    Still riding in Jasper

Hey Edmontonians...and anyone else I guess.
Trails in Jasper are in tip top shape. Bit of mud here and there but no worse than July! All vallry bottom trails good to go but any fire road riding is done for the year.
Maybe a little trip to slay some trails? Hoping if enough people plan a trip and come maybe it will snow?
Its ski season, this is nuts.

    Hey yahsper,

Is Valley of the Five Lakes groomed for fatbike riding? Wondering what trails will be maintained this winter. Thanks!

No...But snowshoe tour groups do a mini loop starting and finishing from the trail head.
Parks has a winter guide that shows what gets track packed. It reads like the walking trails might be off limits but most everything is multi use. The bench gets packed and ridden lots. Best to message me or call one of the three bike shops for info (**cough, cough, FREEWHEEL, cough...) Even just popping in for a free map works well.
Lots of folks still riding regular mtbs right now. Some frozen puddles you have to watch for but you can see them coming.

Well it warmed up considerably this afternoon and melted a bunch. Might not be over quite yet. Snowfall warning in Jasper but it seems to have fizzled.

Yup, we went Saturday and had a blast riding in the snowfall. Trails up by Pyramid were in super shape due to the wet snow!
