    In search of smoke-free skies...

Eastern WA here. We can't do anything outside; it's horrible.

    According to this,
    Smoke Forecast - FireSmoke.ca

It looks like SE BC is getting pretty hammered. My friend in Fernie tells me that they are getting smoke blowing in. How far am I going to have to go?
How is Kamloops/Golden/ any of that?

    thx!!

The coast is clear (so to speak).

To get an idea there's the BC highway cameras. Golden is looking hazy. Kamloops looks pretty clear. Revelstoke is looking hazy

Rode for three hours yesterday under crystal clear, bluebird skies around Calgary. Today.... not so great. The wind changed and the Washington and BC smoke is paying us a visit.
Screw the shuttle, I'm riding to the top. You're all worthless and weak!!!

Really bad here today in New Denver. Can't see the Valhallas across the lake. Idaho Peak barely visible. Riding the low level, non climbing trails to avoid smoke inhalation.

I heard it was getting up there.
Gah. I can't ride at all if it gets above 50 ppm.
    Think rain.

    Squamish is nice right now.

And Vancouver is crystal clear (except for the usual smog)

Pretty bad in Canmore right now, we are right in the middle of that purple haze on the BC smoke forecast map you posted. Guessing Golden etc are just as bad. Jasper looks better, at least according to the forecast...
