    Revelstoke area air quality

Any body in the Revy area who can give me an air quality report? I'm in Vernon and it's pretty hazy and stinky right now from the fires. Was hoping to escape the smoke and ride the Keystone Standard Basin tomorrow.

Any local info as to local conditions would be muchly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Judging from the BC Highway traffic cam, it doesn't look as soupy as some places like the Rogers Pass or Kelowna, but there's some haze higher on the mountains

I'm hoping the air quality will be good in the alpine. Temps are looking good and the rain is now forecast to hold off until Sunday.

Rode there on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday it was good.

Should be good now, it is even clear in Kamloops right now.

We had a good ride today. Warm with a nice breeze to keep the bugs off. The smoke was visible down the valley but the air quality in the alpine was good.

    Piccy of Keystone?

How would camping be down at the lake? Smoke density fairly high?

Yes, that's the Keystone trail just east of the scree field on the way to the cabin yesterday afternoon. Camping should be fine. Not much smoke at all and with the breeze kicking up yesterday and today there should be no bugs either.

Edit: I was assuming you meant the little lake near the cabin. If you meant Revelstoke Lake - there's certainly more smoke down there but it had cleared considerably in the afternoon, Today should be better for smoke, cooler temps more breeze and the chance of some showers.

Keystone is a great ride. First rode it as a kid back in 92.
