    Raining in Calgary..

The rain is frustrating me. Sure I could go out and ride, work on my wet weather skills, test my equipment to see how it holds up, see how my choice of chain lube handles a mud bath but I'm too old for that. Been there done that many years over. It's the cleaning up after the ride that is tedious and time consuming. But on the bright side, I guess it's going to make the foliage taller and greener I just wanna ride my bike!

Too much rain and snow over the last 5 years really is a buzz killer for MTBing. Who wants to go for a two hour ride when it's followed by a 3 hr cleaning. Never mind you wold probably die of hypothermia if you got caught out on a day like today.

Bring back the nice dry years prior to 2005! Time to move.

But with the amount of rain we've been getting, I doubt the trails will be in the best conditions.

You didn't miss anything. Because of all the crappy weather I keep delaying the new bike build. Why spend thousands on something that never gets used.

and it continues more rain possible in the hills through out the next few days and weekend.

Long range forecast is continued below normal temperatures for the rest of the month.

It's the middle of July and there is still a patch of snow on the south side of Moose..must be a first.

Not even close to a first...

And believe it or not the trails are not particularly wet...due to the dry spring.

We're paying for the primo riding conditions back in March & April.

Hopefully its 20-25 degrees with rain Thursday evenings from 11:00 to 4:00 am every week for the rest of the summer, and September.

Atleast we don't have to worry about forest fires

Been fairly decent here in Fernie for the past couple of weeks - the odd rainy day, and a few scattered showers but I got 10 days straight in with a break at Goatstyle...
...Only a few hours from Calgary!

I was planning on it but it looks like they have pulled the plug on the weekend forecast....again. Nice all week and the crap will roll in for the long weekend.
