Hope BC: On November 3rd, 2009 the Hope RCMP received a report of a traveller who had failed to contact family and was possible missing. The Hope RCMP were notified as the last call made to family was made from Hope BC. Edwin Kortenbach was travelling on his bicycle from Edmonton Alberta possibly to Coquitlam BC.

Update: Edwin Kortenbach has been located.

Kortenbach was recently seen in Peddle sports in Chilliwack and was advised he was currently listed as a missing person. This prompted Mr. Kortenbach to contact family and advise that he is okay.

Thank you to all those who took the time to call in tips to help investigators locate Mr. Kortenbach.

Kortenbach was reported missing by family out of concern for his safety. This should be a reminder to travellers to stay in touch, and/or advise family that you wont be in contact for an extended period of time.
