    New question here. Has any biker been lost due to floods?

    Has any bikers been lost or injured due to the floods in alberta and BC??

    I don't know of any around here. There is one girl suspected of being taken away by the river as she walked home. But I haven't heard too much about that either. So far I think we cyclists have been relatively lucky in that we have only lost a few meters of riverside trail.

    I nearly was washed away.....

    ....when we were camping in Penticton last weekend. We were camping and it rained 30+ mm on us in 24 hours. We decided to head west (to Vancouver), where unbelievably it was nicer than in the Okanagen.

    i never heard of any case like that inwhich a biker was reported lost from a flood, in a way i dont really want to hear of a case becuase i dont want any rider to be reported lost from a flood

    And I thought you said that there was desert like conditions there.........
    That is to bad about the weather and now I know why you want to go back there again but .....

    at least the boys (dogs) didn't get all hot and thirsty during your ride........
