    Frame builder in Edmonton

Hi all I'm looking for a frame builder in Edmonton. I'm looking to have a vintage frame spread from 126mm to 130mm. I want it professionally done and aligned on a jig.

Arvon Stacey in Tofield, or Steven Breye at Pedalhead Road Works might be options

I missed this thread earlier, but I've used Sheldon Brown's 2x4 method to go from 130>135 on two frames.

    Bicycle Frame/Hub Spacing

It sounds ghetto, but as long as you go slow it works pretty well. You could probably even take a 2x4 to bikeworks and do it there, since they have all the frame alignment gauges (better than a tapemeasure) to check that everything ends up where it's supposed to.

Thanks. I've decided to get a rear hub from Velo Orange that's spaced at 126mm and avoid having to spread the frame all together. I'll continue to run a 6 speed freewheel.

Arvon retired (completely) last year... I have taken over the repairs and frame work here after a long apprenticeship.

Arvon will be 81 this summer btw.. .
